Terms of Service

Last updated: September 12th 2026

These terms are an agreement between IGC Enterprises Ltd, trading as Installa ("we", "us"), company number 7074130, and the business that creates an Installa account ("you"). They cover the Installa CRM application at installacrm.com, the Installa mobile app, and our API (together, the "Service"). By creating an account you accept them on behalf of your business.

1. Your account

Installa is for business use. The person who creates the account confirms they have authority to bind the business. You are responsible for the people you invite, for keeping sign-in details secure, and for everything done under your account. Tell us straight away at support@installa.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

2. Plans, trials and payment

  • Free plan. The Free plan costs nothing and has the limits shown on our pricing page. We may change those limits with 30 days' notice.
  • Free trial. New accounts may receive a 14-day trial of a paid plan with no card required. If you do not subscribe when it ends, the account moves to the Free plan and nothing is charged.
  • Paid plans. Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually, in pounds sterling. Prices exclude VAT, which is added where it applies. Extra users are charged at the per-user rate for your plan.
  • Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.
  • Refunds. Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise or where we end the Service under clause 9 without cause.
  • Price changes. We will give at least 30 days' notice of a price increase, and it will apply from your next renewal.
  • Late payment. If a payment fails we will tell you and retry. If it remains unpaid after 14 days we may move the account to the Free plan or suspend it.

3. Your data

You own the data you put into Installa. You give us permission to host and process it only to provide and support the Service. You are the controller of any personal data in it, and we act as your processor under the data processing terms in clause 4. You can export your data at any time while your account is active.

4. Data processing terms

Where we process personal data on your behalf we will: act only on your documented instructions, including these terms; keep it confidential and secure; use sub-processors only under written contracts offering equivalent protection, and tell you before adding a new one; help you respond to data subject requests and security incidents; notify you without undue delay if we become aware of a personal data breach; and delete or return the data when the Service ends. Our current sub-processors are listed in our Privacy Policy. The subject matter is the provision of the Service; the data subjects are your customers, prospects, staff and suppliers; the data is contact, site, project and communication records; and the duration is the life of your account plus the deletion period in clause 9.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service unlawfully, send unsolicited marketing through it, upload malicious code, attempt to access another customer's data, probe or overload our systems, resell the Service without our written agreement, or use it to build a competing product. We may suspend an account that puts the Service or other customers at risk, and will tell you why.

6. Design outputs and compliance

Installa provides system designs, yield estimates, electrical checks, and regulatory documents such as MCS and DNO paperwork as tools to support a competent installer. They are estimates and drafts, based on the information entered and on third-party data such as imagery and irradiance. You remain responsible for site surveys, final design, electrical safety, certification, and everything you submit to a regulator, network operator or customer.

7. Availability and support

We aim to keep the Service available at all times apart from planned maintenance, which we schedule outside UK working hours where we can. We do not offer a guaranteed uptime level unless we have agreed one with you in writing. Support is by email at support@installa.com, with priority given according to your plan.

8. Our intellectual property

We own the Service, its software and its content. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it while your account is active. If you send us feedback we may use it without obligation to you.

9. Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time. We may end the agreement with 30 days' notice, or immediately if you seriously breach these terms or do not pay. When an account closes, your data is kept for 90 days so you can change your mind or export it, then deleted, and removed from backups within a further 30 days.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that: we are not liable for loss of profit, business, revenue or anticipated savings, or for indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, or £100 if you are on the Free plan. The Service is otherwise provided "as is", and all warranties not set out here are excluded as far as the law allows.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. We will give account owners at least 30 days' notice by email of any change that materially affects them. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.

12. General

You may not transfer this agreement without our consent. If part of it is found unenforceable the rest still applies. It is the whole agreement between us about the Service. It is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
